About

The Lake Superior Circle Tour is one of North America’s most iconic motorcycle rides, a 1,300 mile/2,100 kms loop that circles the largest Great Lake through the U.S. states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, and the Canadian province of Ontario. Riders experience dramatic shoreline views, winding forest roads, rocky cliffs, waterfalls, and charming lakeside towns. Popular highlights include Duluth and the North Shore Scenic Byway in Minnesota, the remote wilderness of Ontario’s north shore, Sault Ste. Marie’s historic locks, and Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Most riders take 7–10 days to complete the loop at a relaxed pace, though it can be done faster. Summer and early fall are the best times to ride, offering milder weather, long daylight hours, and fewer risks of spring snow or heavy autumn storms. It’s a bucket-list journey for motorcyclists who love sweeping scenery, international travel, and the rhythm of riding alongside the world’s largest freshwater lake.

Stay : You’re free to stay wherever you prefer — hotel or camping. The hotels marked on the map are where I (MMDK / Behram / B / BJ) will be staying. For the Apostle Islands stop in Bayfield, WI, I’m hoping we can all stay at the Apostle Islands Area Campground since it offers both cabins and camping — a perfect setup that should work well for everyone
